III Profiles in social networks
(1) ProjektZEIT maintains online presences within social networks (currently: Instagram) in order to inform the users active there about ProjektZEIT services, to interact with users and to communicate via these platforms if there is interest. The social media channels can only be accessed via this website using an external link. As soon as you access the respective social media profiles in the respective network, the terms and conditions and data processing guidelines of the respective operators apply.
ProjektZEIT has no influence on the collection of data and its further use by the social networks. There is no knowledge of the extent to which, where and for how long the data is stored, to what extent the networks comply with existing deletion obligations, which evaluations and links are made with the data and to whom the data is passed on. ProjektZEIT therefore expressly draws your attention to the fact that your data (e.g. personal information, IP address) will be stored by the operators of the networks in accordance with their data usage guidelines, processed in third countries such as the USA and used for business purposes.

(2) If you use the projektZEIT profile in social networks to contact projektZEIT (e.g. by creating your own posts, responding to a post by projektZEIT or sending private messages), the data you provide to the operator will be processed by the operator exclusively for the purpose of being able to contact you. The legal basis for data collection is therefore Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) and, in the case of contract initiation or existing contractual relationships with you, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. ProjektZEIT deletes stored data regularly, at the latest every year, as soon as its storage is no longer required or you request the operator to delete it; in the case of statutory retention obligations, the operator restricts the processing of the stored data accordingly. The retention obligation for commercial and business letters is six years in accordance with §147 I, III AO.
In the case of consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a), you can revoke this at any time by sending a revocation to projektZEIT, e.g. informally by e-mail. The legality of the previous data processing remains unaffected until the time of revocation.
